VPM3D CSU Summer Arts 2015

The students of Video Projection Mapping in 3D Space (VPM3D) are proud to present their culminating projects created during the past two weeks working with video artist Yannick Jacquet. Nine collaborative projections will converge upon the CSU Monterey Bay Otter Sports Center Gymnasium, beckoning viewers to explore a fully immersive projection mapping installation space.

VPM3D projects run the gamut from generative algorithms creating endless visual landscapes to geometrical patterns mapped to life-sized walls of white cubes. Sea life mingles with fantastical creatures in a world transformed by the interplay of projected light and cutting-edge computer software.

Working with recycled materials, VPM3D students will transform the gymnasium environment while pushing the limits of technology in a celebration of light emitting visual art. Projects presented during our student showcase include: Expansion, Duality, Box Delight, Abyss, United Rails, Cityscape du Monde, Pigmorph, Color Organ, and Lightfighter Light.
